Consultant, Employment Law
Claire is an experienced employment advisor, having worked for both public and private sector employers on a wide range of advisory, contentious and transactional matters, as well as advising individuals on difficulties with their employers. Claire trained as a barrister and was an advocate in the criminal and civil courts before specialising in employment at DAC Beachcroft. She moved to Linklaters in 2008 where she spent 8 years working for a variety of global banks and corporates, investment funds and insurers as an employment specialist.
Claire joined TLA in 2017 and advises clients on all aspects of employment law with an emphasis on workplace disputes, for example discrimination, whistleblowing and disciplinary matters. She enjoys forming a “trusted advisor” relationship with clients, and getting advice early on workplace disputes to try to avoid costly and damaging litigation, where possible.
Claire also works as a Trustee and on a voluntary basis for a number of charities advising Board members and providing pro bono employment advice.
Claire’s experience includes:
- Acting for a global investment fund on all of its executive appointments, terminations and sensitive HR matters.

- Advising on disciplinary investigations and proceedings, including those involving surveillance, regulatory misconduct and allegations relating to drugs and alcohol.
