Jagvinder qualified as a software engineer and completed academic requirements for chartered engineer status before training and qualifying as a solicitor with Pinsent Curtis (now Pinsent Masons).

Jagvinder worked in the specialist technology team at Wragge & Co. (now Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co.) until the end of 2002, leaving to co-found Technology Law Alliance. He has been seconded to the legal teams of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 technology companies.

He is a regular contributor to IT and legal press, and a recognised speaker in the field of technology law. Jagvinder specialises in IT contracts, outsourcing (particularly offshore projects) and e-commerce work. He is recognised as a leader in the field by Legal 500 and Legal Experts publications.

Examples of work include:

  • advising a leading car manufacturer on its global multi-million pound Telematics contractual arrangements. The transaction included consideration of complex issues in relation to: cloud computing; data protection; IPR; escrow; and SLA arrangements.
  • advising a global IT service provider on a multi-million pound ERP system for a household name in the retail sector, including a European roll-out. The transaction included consideration of complex issues in relation to: software development methodologies and associated testing and acceptance provisions; data protection; and liability arrangements.
  • advising a leading global food company on their multi-million pound ERP arrangements with a global IT company. The transaction included consideration of complex issues in relation to: software quality issues; roll-out across the business; and limiting cost impacts as a result of the software development process.
